In essence, they are becoming more like God. This relates back to the first verse of my close reading where the author says, â€Å"the one who claims to remain in him ought to live in the same way as he lived.† From here, the author ties the whole section together by relating his wordsShow MoreRelatedRomeo And Juliet by William Shakespeare967 Words   |  4 PagesRomeo and Juliet the beauty and ardour of young love is seen by Shakespeare as the irradiating glory of sunlight and starlight in a dark work. Conrad’s use of ‘light’ and ‘darkness’ imagery is reflected through devices such as setting and atmosphere. The extract begins rich with imagery as Marlow talks of the â€Å"Light† that â€Å"came out of this river†, emphasising the idea that through invasion, the Romans diminished the â€Å"darkness that was here yesterday† in their brief â€Å"flicker† of light.
